How far will Dr. Luthar travel for a home visit?

While most care takes place in-office or virtually, Dr. Luthar does offer occasional home visits for patients when medically appropriate or logistically necessary. These visits are typically reserved for acute needs, complex situations, or patients with mobility limitations.

Standard home visit availability includes:

• Back Bay
• Beacon Hill
• Cambridge

As part of a forthcoming geriatric home care program, expanded home visits will be available throughout:

• Greater Boston
• MetroWest suburbs (Newton, Brookline, Wellesley, etc.)
• Select surrounding towns on a case-by-case basis

For patients located further afield, including Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Cape Cod, New Hampshire, or New York, home visits may be possible, but additional travel and lodging fees will apply. These arrangements are reviewed individually depending on timing, medical need, and clinical appropriateness.
