Do I need to maintain a separate insurance-based PCP?

No, you do not need to maintain a separate insurance-based primary care physician. When you join Dr. Luthar’s practice, he becomes your dedicated PCP. This includes full-spectrum primary care services such as preventive exams, diagnostic evaluation, chronic condition management, referrals, and ongoing health planning.

As your primary doctor, Dr. Luthar provides continuity, coordination, and comprehensive care within a personalized and integrative model. This ensures your medical needs are managed in one place, with the time and attention often missing from traditional models.

If you have specialists or ongoing care from other providers, Dr. Luthar also helps coordinate across those relationships to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Patients do not need to list another doctor for primary care unless their insurance provider or plan has specific requirements, such as for HMO networks. In such cases, we can discuss how best to handle those needs on a case-by-case basis.

For most patients, Dr. Luthar is their sole primary care physician and central point of contact for all medical concerns.
